Garmin Enduro launched with solar charging, 80-day battery life

Garmin is known for making excellent fitness watches designed for specific use cases. Some are designed for running, some have features that will appeal to golfers, and others are just all-rounders. The latest product launch is the Garmin Enduro, a multisport smartwatch for endurance athletes such as ultra runners and cyclists.
The wearable promises a battery life of up to 70 days when fully charged. You can use the watch’s solar charging capabilities to extend it up to 80 hours, provided you are in the sun for at least three hours a day.
This isn’t the first Garmin smartwatch to be solar charged. We’ve already seen the feature on wearables like this

Because the Garmin Enduro is suitable for cyclists, it provides real-time information on current and upcoming climbs, including incline, distance and elevation gain. It also offers grit and flow metrics that rate mountain bikers’ difficulty.
For professional runners, the smartwatch has a special ultra run mode that has a sleep timer to record the time spent at auxiliary stations.
Since it is of crucial importance for endurance athletes to recover between training units, the Garmin Enduro has an integrated recovery advisor. It recommends the rest time needed before the next workout based on sleep and other wellness data.
Speaking of general wellbeing, the smartwatch includes a heart rate sensor, a pulse oximeter to measure blood oxygen levels, sleep tracking and Garmin’s exclusive body battery function to measure energy levels. You also get a built-in GPS.
