Galaxy Note 20 rumors: Leaked photos of Ultra model, August launch date, camera specs

Samsung will introduce the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra as one of its models new touch phones on August 5th – that is, if the growing rumors are correct. The whispering about an extra-large version of the Note 20, known as the Note 20 Ultra, has been popping up and down at regular intervals. Now a well-known Twitter leaker with a series of photos and technical data convincingly claims that the Ultra is real. As always, until the official announcement from Samsung, nothing goes without saying.

If this is the case, Samsung would also introduce the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in addition to other Note 20 variants Rumor has it that Galaxy Fold 2 and a 5G version of the Galaxy Z Flip. Rumor has it that the Galaxy Note 20 phones will hit stores on August 20, 2020. (Samsung loves a good pattern.)

In this uncertain climate, speculation still suggests that Samsung will launch a reveal, despite the company refusing to comment on the rumor.

How the Galaxy Note 20 is received is less certain – both as a device and as a higher-priced phone in these difficult times. New photo leaks: Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is real?

Twitter leaker Ice Universe dropped a bomb on June 18 with photos, specs, and even a 26-second video attributed to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Overall, the images show a device with two curved screens, whisper-thin bezels to free up maximum screen space, and an overall somewhat thinner body compared to the Galaxy Note 10 Plus.

• Galaxy Note 20: 6.4 to 6.7 inches (From Young: 6.42 inches, 2,345 x 1,084 pixels resolution)
• Galaxy Note 20 Plus: 6.9 inches (from Pigtou: 165 millimeters high, 77.2 mm wide and 7.6 mm thick)
• Galaxy Note 20 Ultra: Over 7 inches (QHD + screen and 120Hz option can be turned on at the same time.)

Ultra-fast 120 Hz screen can save more battery than the S20 Ultra

If the high-end Galaxy S20 phones have a 120 Hz screen, it’s a good bet that the Note 20 phones will have that too. Phones with high screen refresh rates are a trend in the premium market. Any screen with the option to update every pixel more frequently than the usual 60 Hz (60 times per second) promises smooth scrolling and gameplay.

Ice Universe, a common phone lick, suggests a “fine-tuned” version of the feature. The Danish blog Galaxy Club goes a little deeper and suggests that the update uses 15% to 20% less energy than the Galaxy S20 Ultra, a phone whose test device swallowed the battery in 120 Hz mode instead of sipping it. 5G Galaxy Note 20 is practically a matter of course

We hardly need a rumor to be sure that the Galaxy Note 20 line supports 5G speeds. The Galaxy S20 phones do this with one limitation. There are some variants of the standard S20 that are only 4G LTE-capable in certain regions such as Australia.

Some network operators in some regions may also sell a 4G LTE version of the standard Galaxy Note 20, e.g. For example, if the region is still building its 5G networks or if the network operator prefers a cheaper 4G version for its portfolio. The suggestion that the Note 20 could be very similar to the Galaxy S20 – but with angular edges and the S Pen pen – comes up again and again and reproduces the Samsung pattern for several cycles. Now we come to one of my favorite topics: telephone specifications. Will the Galaxy Note 20 series have a 100x zoom or not? The answer to this question has an interesting advantage. Samsung proudly announced the Galaxy S20 Ultra’s 100x AI-assisted zoom called Space Zoom, a unique product in the S20 range and one of the features designed to justify the phone’s stratospheric price.

If Samsung doesn’t include Space Zoom, as the Twitter leakers Ice Universe and Sleepy Kuma (via the Korea Joongang Daily) seem to suspect, this could be seen as a rare admission of a defeat at the end of Samsung that its marquee function didn’t do the right thing Notes.

It should be noted that many of the rumor-ridden image renders and alleged leaks from case designs have square cutouts for large camera shocks that resemble those of the Galaxy S20 series.

So what cameras could we see? According to the Korea Joongang Daily and Ice Universe (via the Weibo Chat app):

• Galaxy Note 20 Plus: 108-megapixel (main), 12-megapixel telephoto, 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle. 50x zoom. Laser focus can help fine-tune focus for close-ups (a problem with the Galaxy S20 phones).

Winebach also agrees that the Note 20 Plus will have a 108 megapixel sensor.

What about the front camera?

Rumor has it that the Galaxy Note 20 could use Samsung’s first camera under the display. If this is the case, it means that the sensor is not visible most of the time. You may only “see” the sensor if you are using an app that works with the camera, for example to indicate where to look when you take a selfie or video chat.

We don’t even need a rumor to know that the Galaxy Note 20 will initially ship with Android 10 and upgrade to Android 11. This is because Android 11 is in beta and is not ready for prime time.

In context, two things have changed over the past year to make the Note series more affordable and, as Samsung certainly hopes, more accessible.

The first thing that happened was that the standard Note 10 started at a cheaper price of $ 950, compared to the starting price of $ 1,000 for the Note 9. (Meanwhile, the Note 10 Plus debuted $ 1,100.) Samsung didn’t give the Note 10 quite as well. Many extras as the plus, but the price tag below $ 1,000 made it a better value overall.
