If you are always fed up with Siri, Alexa or Google Assistant Interrupt your conversations or Endanger your right to privacyMaybe a belligerent fictional robot that insults you for asking too many questions is faster.

Futurama Fan and Reddit user Zen Kong shared a video from its bespoke, interactive smart speaker that looks like the wisecracking of the show Robot character Bender.

The DIY smart speakers were made with a 3D printed model from Bender downloaded from Thingiverse. Bender’s eyes and mouth light up when questions are asked and when the speaker is sleep or recharge.

The Smart Speaker uses a Raspberry Pi Zero W. Computer and Pocketsphinx speech recognition software To better understand your voice queries, Futurama answers with different sentences such as “bite my shiny metal ass” and “I’m sorry for you right now” when questions are asked.

The best thing is that you don’t have to worry about your information being sold to third parties as the Bender Smart Speaker works entirely offline. Of course, this also means that you will not receive any useful information such as weather reports or headlines.

Futurama fans who want to try building their own Bender Smart speakers can download Kongs Custom Python code from GitHub.
