First major Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 leak is here
- The alleged specifications for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 chipset have just been leaked.
- This mobile chip would be the 2021 successor to the 2020 Snapdragon 765 series.
- The leaked specs suggest that this could be a 5nm build that would blur the lines between “flagship” and “mid-range” even more.
Last year, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 and 765G chipsets became the first choice for upper mid-range smartphones. The 765G in particular offered 5G support and plenty of power for everyday tasks. It supports several successful mobile phones including the OnePlus Nord, Redmi K30 and Google Pixel 5.
Now it looks like Qualcomm could prepare the follow-up on this chip. At XDA developerWe saw a leaked list of specs that allegedly refer to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 and 775G. You can see the specs mirrored below.

The most notable supposed upgrade with this line of chips is a 5nm build. This would provide faster and more energy efficient performance compared to the 7nm build on previous year’s models. This would also blur the line between this and the unmatched speed offered by Qualcomm’s 800 series chips as they are also based on a 5nm architecture.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 has leaked specifications
It is important to note that this information is somewhat suspicious. According to XDA’s According to sources, this sheet appears to be a legitimate slide from an internal Qualcomm document. However, the slide seems out of date. As a result, any of these specs can be wrong – including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 name. After all, Qualcomm tossed us a curveball with the launch of the Snapdragon 888 earlier this year, so all naming bets are void.
Still, these seem to be logical upgrades to the 765 series. Rumor has it that the Snapdragon 775 – or whatever it’s called – could power the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite. In that case, we probably won’t have to wait long to get confirmation from Qualcomm.
