What would Ferris Bueller think of Lockdown? We can speculate on the cast of Ferris Buellers Day Off, who took the time to remember the John Hughes classic. The reunion with the zoom actors is the latest from Josh Gad’s nostalgic YouTube series Reunited Apart.

Matthew Broderick looked back at playing Bueller over 30 years ago and spoke with cast colleagues Alan Ruck (Cameron), Mia Sara (Sloane), Jennifer Gray (Jeanie), Cindy Pickett (Katie), Lyman Ward (Tom) and some other special guests.

Look out for Ben Stein, the man who started his speechwriting career for Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford before taking on his famous role as a business economist from Bueller.

The actors speak of iconic lines and phrases, as well as Stein’s famous repetition of Bueller’s name. He also tells the story of how he promoted his lines for the most boring lecture the film has ever had.

Jake Gyllenhaal intervened to speculate on how he could play Bueller’s son in the hypothetical sequel, and Kenny Ortega discussed his experience of choreography on the legendary Chicago parade scene before choreographing dirty dancing.

Reunited Apart has brought together the casts of Lord of the Rings, the original Ghost hunters, Tom Hanks’ splash and more. The series collects donations for various organizations that support those affected COVID-19.
