Android authority received pictures of a prototype of the Realme Book laptop. Although we’ve only glimpsed this laptop so far, these photos give a much better insight into the design and build quality. This exclusive leak also confirms the name of the laptop and the name of the Realme tablet (more on this below).

BBK Electronics is the parent company of smartphone brands such as OnePlus and Oppo. Over the years it has grown into a colossal presence in the smartphone space. It diversifies a bit with Realme. We saw Realme launch a sub-brand to sub-brand to expand into the home ecosystem. This Realme Book laptop seems like another step in diversification.
The Realme Book will have a 3: 2 display and a MacBook-inspired design
Realme isn’t too subtle when it comes to MacBook inspiration. Realme’s CEO for India and Europe recently teased the Realme Book on Twitter and gave a sneak peek into the product. You can see the laptop peeking out of an office envelope. The office envelope gimmick has been going on since the first MacBook Air unveiling in 2008. Steve Jobs pulled the MacBook Air out of a similar envelope when it was unveiled.

The photos show the aluminum housing and the super thin bezels. We can also see two speaker grilles under the body, which means there are stereo speakers on board. This is clearly a Windows laptop, and given Realme’s price history, we can assume the price is competitive.
The big difference here seems to be the 3: 2 aspect ratio of the screen. The company will likely market this screen aspect ratio as the main selling point for this laptop along with the slim bezels. USB-C charging could also be present in the Realme Book, though we don’t have solid confirmation on that yet. The features will likely also vary depending on the configuration variants of the Realme releases.
Bonus leak: Realme pad tablet
Sorry, we haven’t received any photos of Realme’s upcoming tablet. However, the above inclusion probably means we can also expect it to be announced next week during the global rollout of Realme GT 5G. What little we can tell from the photo includes a square design, a camera or two on the back, and a metal construction.
BBK’s Realme has a strong presence in India, alongside other markets such as China, other parts of Southeast Asia and Europe. This laptop or tablet is unlikely to ever hit the US coast. However, we do know that BBK replicates its products under its various sub-brands. Maybe one day we’ll just get a OnePlus laptop or a Vivo tablet.
The exact date of the release of the laptop and tablet is not yet known, but the photos were clearly taken at the location of the Realme GT 5G launch, which for the 15th can do so on Realme’s YouTube channel.
