The CEO’s tweets come after it was reported that Tesla resumed production on May 11, although the local government has not received the green light. Last Friday, Governor of California Gavin Newsom said some manufacturing facilities could be put back into operation, but Alameda County – where Tesla’s Fremont factory is located – did not cancel his order.

All the while, the county said it would continue to work with Tesla on Friday, but did not consider it “appropriate” to send employees back to work. The county was reportedly working to give Tesla the OK to return to work on May 18.
It prompted CEO Elon Musk, one Lawsuit filed Tesla against the county to reopen the assembly plant this weekend. He also said that the automaker’s headquarters would be relocated to Nevada or Texas, and he thought about the possibility of pulling Tesla production out of California in response to regulations. Musk has gone so far as to call home orders “fascist”.
In his return to work statement, Tesla outlined the steps taken to resume production and underlined that it worked with county and state governments to re-consider “health and safety” for workers to draw. The 38-page plan also includes details of the steps Tesla took from his findings in his Fremont plant Shanghai – the only other Tesla production facility.
