Do you use automatic or manual screen brightness?

Dhruv Bhutani / Android Authority

The automatic screen brightness was an integral part of smartphones from the start and dynamically adjusts the brightness to the ambient lighting. Since then, we’ve seen Google offer adaptive brightness as well and learn from your preferred settings over time.

However, are you all-in on automatic / adaptive brightness? Or do you prefer manual screen brightness? That’s what we want to know from you in our featured survey today, so make your choices below.

The auto / adaptive brightness is theoretically more seamless as the phone dynamically adapts to your environment without user intervention. On the other end of the spectrum, manual adjustments are more work for the user, but you can be sure that the screen brightness is exactly how you want it to be.

On the other hand, the auto / adaptive brightness still allows you to make manual adjustments so you get the best of both worlds. Either way, you can let us know which option you’re using in the survey above, or leave a comment below if you have more on your mind.
