In the past few months, rumors have gained traction that Samsung could kill the Galaxy Note series in favor of its burgeoning foldable lineup.
Those rumors gained credibility this week as prominent Newswire Reuters reported that Samsung has no plans for a Galaxy Note device in 2021. The outlet cited three sources for the claim, with those sources adding that the Galaxy Note’s S-Pen will come to a Galaxy S21 model and the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
It would be the end of an era for the Korean brand as the Galaxy Note range played a huge role in putting the company on the map. The original Galaxy Note made large-screen smartphones popular, while the S-Pen was a handy accessory that only improved with almost every generation.
However, there are some challenges in getting the S-Pen onto foldable screens, such as: B. Making a foldable screen that is tough enough to withstand bumps from the pen. But Samsung is probably working hard on this.
Even so, these rumors ask us whether Samsung should actually kill the Galaxy Note family. What do you think? You can take our survey near the top of the page!
