The Coronavirus pandemic continue to wreak havoc. As people are instructed to stay at home and avoid contact with others, a cascade of cancellations and postponements has removed important events from the calendar.
Disneyland and Disney World are closed. Films from James Bond to Black Widow have been postponed. Major events like SXSW, the E3 gaming show, the Motor shows in Geneva and Detroit and Mobile world congress were all canceled. Coachella, the Cannes Film Festival and that Eurovision Song Contest were hit. The NBA suspended its seasonhow many other sports leagues. Formula 1 and Wimbledon are also off.
The latest important events: The personal conferences for Defcon and Gamescom as well as the International Broadcasting Convention in Amsterdam. Annual summer events such as the Iowa State Fair, Lollapalooza and the Taste of Chicago have also been scrapped this year.
