TL; DR

  • A phone that is believed to be the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has gone through TENAA.
  • The listing shows the dimensions of the device, the battery capacity and more.

A phone believed to be the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE recently went through the FCC and revealed some key details in the process. Now the Chinese version of the device has apparently also passed the TENAA certification body.

The listing as reported by MyFixGuide, suggests that the device in question has the model number SM-G9900. In comparison, the US Galaxy S21 FE model is said to use the SM-G990U-Tag. That said, the TENAA-listed device will reportedly have dual SIM and dual standby support with 5G connectivity.

Measurement details have also surfaced. According to the listing, the device can be 7.9mm thick and 155.7mm long. In particular, the width of the phone is reported as “4.5mm”, but that is almost certainly a mistake. As a baseline, the Galaxy S20 FE measures 159.8 mm in length, 74.5 mm in width and 8.4 mm in depth. A smaller body would make the S21 FE a bit more manageable.

Other numbers mentioned include a 6.4-inch display with a 4,370 mAh battery. Samsung could market the latter as a battery with 4,500 mAh.

If we add these details to the FCC list, we can also see that the S21 FE has a 45W charge and a Snapdragon 888 SoC. Wi-Fi 6 support, Bluetooth 5.0 support, NFC and wireless power transfer also make the cut.

We can’t find the TENAA list ourselves, so take those details with a pinch of salt. Also, don’t be too surprised if the Chinese and US versions differ in some ways. We’ll have to wait a while for confirmation as well. The Galaxy S21 FE is expected to hit the market after the Galaxy Z Fold 3, which is rumored to debut in late July or early August.
