- Motorola has launched its new budget G-Series phone in Europe.
- The Moto G20 has a quad camera setup, a Unisoc T700 SoC and a 5,000 mAh battery.
- It is available in selected countries for € 149.
Motorola unveiled two mid-range G-series phones last week, both of which have reputable spec sheets. Now the company has announced its budget entry for Europe in the form of the Moto G20.
It arrives on the continent for € 149 in the colors Breeze Blue and Flamingo Pink. While the Moto G20 has an outdated design, this basement price brings a lot of smartphone with it.
For starters, a 6.5-inch LED with a resolution of 1,600 x 720 and a refresh rate of 90 Hz is in the foreground of the Moto G20. An octa-core Unisoc T700 SoC is the silicon of choice, which is combined with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of storage. There is also a microSD card slot for expansion. It is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that Motorola believes can be used for two days. It is charged with a 10 W charging system.
A quad camera layout is also seen. A 48MP rear camera makes the headlines, while an 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth shooter provide support. A 13MP selfie shooter sits in a teardrop notch in the front.
Additional amenities include Wi-Fi 5 support, NFC and Bluetooth 5.0. There’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a floor-fire speaker. Android 11 is preinstalled.
Moto G20: price and availability
According to Motorola, the Moto G20 will be launched in “selected European countries” and will be launched in other regions in the “coming weeks”. There is still no word on global availability. For now, expect the Moto G20 to compete against the TCL 20 SE and the Poco M3 in the European sub-200 euro segment.
