Black Shark 4 launch teased with battery and fast charging details
- The Black Shark 4 is on the runway and is now officially teased.
- Expect the phone to have 120W fast charge and a 4,500mAh battery.
Black Shark is ready to take the cover off its new gaming phone. The company’s CEO Luo Yuzhou has announced to Weibo that the Black Shark 4 is on its way.
Management hasn’t announced a launch date yet, but has announced that the phone will double its charging speed this year to reach a 120W fast charge. The battery capacity is slightly less, however – 4,500 mAh compared to the Black Shark 3’s 4,720 mAh battery. However, the Black Shark 4 will apparently be fully charged in less than 15 minutes compared to the 40-minute charge time of its predecessor.
The charging upgrade aside, you can expect the Black Shark 4 to have the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset for flagship performance. We also expect liquid cooling technology to appear on the phone as it has been a trademark of the series from the start.

There’s no word on different variations, but if something goes on in 2020, you can expect Black Shark to bring out regular and pro versions of the new gaming flagship.
Elsewhere, the Black Shark 4 will most likely get a large OLED display with a high refresh rate. Last year’s models were capped at 90Hz, so this year’s phone may have a 120Hz screen.
We’ll surely see more details before the phone launches. The Black Shark 3 went official in March last year, but with many flagships in the fast lane this year, we could see the new phone was revealed earlier.
