After a year of pandemic, with much of it spent indoors, it’s clear that having a clean and tidy home is not just important, it’s essential — and the Prime Day deals that will launch next week can help with that. Along with the arrival of Amazon’s major sales event of the year, with the Prime Day 2021 date set on June 21 and June 22, we should see an array of Roomba deals to help keep your home clean, and give you peace of mind. Keep reading to find out if the one you’ve had your eye on might be going on sale, and what to expect on Prime Day.

What Prime Day Roomba deals to expect

Most, if not all, of the Roombas in iRobot’s range will be going on sale on Prime Day, so you’ll want to keep an eye out. If you have a smaller space or an apartment, you’ll want to watch out for the iRobot Roomba 960, while those who hate taking care of disposal (cleaning out the vacuum), should look for the iRobot Roomba i7+, which takes care of that chore for you. For those on a budget, we suggest the iRobot Roomba 614, which you’ll most likely be able to find for less than $200. And we didn’t forget about those of you with furry friends (and their endless amounts of hair); you should keep an eye out for the iRobot Roomba e5, which is great for pets.

No matter what your robovac needs are, you’ll be covered with Prime Day Roomba deals.

What Prime Day Roomba deals we saw last year

During last year’s Prime Day Roomba sales, we saw deep discounts across Roomba’s entire line. The Roomba i7+, which takes care of charging and disposal automatically, and named our “best value” for 2021, was marked down to $599 from $1,000 — that’s 40% off! At the same time, the Roomba i3, an unbelievably handy vacuum, which is great on pet hair, was marked down by a quarter — from $400 to $299.

And did you know that Roomba can mop as well as vacuum? It can! One of the best deals we saw came with the iRobot Roomba i3+ with Braava Jet M6 Mopping Robot — it went from $1,049 to $749.

There were excellent Roomba deals for every budget.

Should you buy a new Roomba on Prime Day?

If a Roomba or similar robot vacuum has been on your “to buy” list, then you have no excuse not to find one — and save yourself a boatload of money — in the upcoming Prime Day sales. If you’re on the fence, or just browsing, there are some factors you need to consider — like how many floors you have in your home, and how much furniture a robot vacuum would need to maneuver around. Regardless, our guide to the best Roombas will help point you in the right direction.

If it’s price that’s holding you up, and you think that waiting for summer, back to school, or Black Friday sales will offer better deals, we urge you to reconsider. In our experience, Black Friday and those other sales don’t offer significantly deeper discounts in robot vacuums than we see on Prime Day. Instead, that focus should go to your budget. Figure out before Prime Day how much you can afford to spend on a Roomba and then don’t exceed that price. And keep an eye out for the larger discounts. If a Roomba is only a few percent off, and you weren’t sure you wanted it in the first place, we wouldn’t want you getting sucked in.
