Prime Day deals are just a week away, with the Prime Day 2021 date set on June 21 and June 22, and we’re expecting to see a plethora of Prime Day drone deals if past years are anything to go by. If you’re in the market for a new drone, read on as we check out what Prime Day drone sales to expect and discuss whether it’s a good time to buy one.
What Prime Day drone deals to expect
The biggest name to expect as part of the Prime Day drone deals has to be DJI. It’s highly likely we’ll see big discounts on the entire range including the Mavic Mini, Mavic Air 2, Mavic 2 Zoom, and more.
Alongside that, expect to see discounts on the Altair range, the Holy Stone range, along with drones from Snaptain and many others. Lesser known brands may also feature if you’re on a tight budget and simply want to dip your toe into the world of drones.
What Prime Day drone deals we saw last year
Last year, DJI was the big winner in the Prime Day drone sales. We saw the DJI Mavic Mini Fly More combo on sale for $100 off, saving you 20%, along with more modest discounts for the Mavic Mini.
There were also substantial price cuts across the board elsewhere with the DJI Spark reduced by $100 along with a variety of price cuts for the Snaptain range and Altair drones too. With something for everyone, Prime Day drone sales covered every budget and requirement.
Should you buy a drone on Prime Day?
Technology tends to fare well in the Prime Day sales and we’re expecting Prime Day drone deals to be pretty good. That means it’s a good time to buy, especially as Prime Day often rivals Black Friday now. Buy your drone in the Prime Day sales and you have an entire summer of enjoying using it rather than waiting until the winter months.
Check out our guides to the best cheap drones as well as the best drones under $500 so you know what to expect. Think about how far your budget can stretch too. It’s easy to spend a lot on a drone but it’s only wise to do so if you can afford it.
