Best Black Friday Kindle Deals We Saw Last Year
Last year we saw Black Friday Kindle deals on every model available. The standard Kindle, which is the cheapest model (and also our favorite), dropped from $90 to only $60 almost a week before Black Friday technically started. The Kindle Oasis got a hefty $75 discount right on Black Friday. That put the most expensive Kindle model at just under $200. Amazon waited to cut the Kindle Paperwhite price until Cyber Monday, when it dropped $50 to only $160. Aside from discounts on the physical models, Amazon offered new Kindle Unlimited members two free months if they signed up on Cyber Monday.
What Black Friday Kindle Deals We Expect to See This Year
Amazon is the king of Black Friday and Cyber Monday tech deals, so we have no doubt that every Kindle model will get some kind of discount. On top of that, a new Kindle model is about due, so Amazon might want to offload as much stock as possible before hyping up a new 2022 Kindle. The standard Kindle will definitely get the usual discount to $60, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it drops below $50 for a limited time. The Kindle Oasis will probably drop below $200, and the Paperwhite will hopefully get below $150.
It’s super important to compare deals before you jump on one. For instance, we tend to see a lot of deals on Kindle bundles. If you’re buying more than one Kindle, or need some accessories like cases or bags, these will undoubtedly save you money. Kindle and case bundles will usually save you about $30 on the RRP, however, you could save as much as $100 on some bundles. A popular deal is the Kindle Kids Edition bundle, which includes a Kindle, a kid-friendly case (usually in the shape of an animal), and a year of Amazon Kids+.
Should You Buy a Kindle on Black Friday or Cyber Monday
If you want to guarantee yourself a discounted Kindle, it’s best to do you shopping on Black Friday, or even in the week before. Like we mentioned above, Amazon discounted their standard Kindle for an entire week leading up to their real Black Friday Kindle deals. You can never predict these things, and once a deal is done it’s gone forever. We recommend buying the first Kindle deal you see that fits you budget. While a different model may go on sale later, the Kindle Oasis, for instance, probably won’t get a bigger discount on Cyber Monday than it will on Black Friday. Hold out for the model you want, but once it’s on sale, grab it as fast as you can.
