Sci-fi film during time travel Back to the Future
The first time it came out was in 1985, it was a huge success, but at that time there wasn’t much filmware that fans could collect. Now, to celebrate the film’s 35th anniversary, fans can finally get their hands on a new one Back to the future Playmobil toy set that includes that DeLorean time machine and cute characters by Marty and Doc.
Back to the Future stared Michael J. Fox as a music-loving teenager Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as an eccentric scientist Dr. “Doc” Emmett Brown. Marty accidentally gets in DeLorean car Time machine and ends in 1955, so he uses the help of a younger version of Doc to help him return to 1985.
The new Set Back to the Future includes an impressively detailed DeLorean car time machine model with gullwing-style opening doors, dashboard circuits, a plutonium chamber, an OUTATIME California license plate and even the Delorean DMC emblem logo for the front grille of the car.
The DeLorean car model uses batteries to illuminate both the outside of the car and the flux capacitor that the machine uses to move through time. The car’s wheels can fold down, making the DeLorean look like it could fly.
The set also includes Marty McFly, Dr. “Doc” Emmett Brown and Docs German Shepherd Einstein. Marty is wearing his red puff coat vest and Doc is wearing white overalls. In the film there are additional accessories such as a skateboard, a retro camcorder and a miniature case made of radioactive plutonium.
The full set costs $ 50 (about GBP 41, AU $ 77) and will hit stores on May 15.
Playmobil also sells additional figures from Marty and Doc wear their 1955 outfits for $ 8 (about £ 7, AU $ 13). The separate figure set also includes a Save the Clock Tower flyer and a red electric guitar.
Although these toys aren’t exactly film-realistic – Playmobil sets are meant for younger kids ages 4 to 12 – the set is still fun for fans of all ages.
In addition, Playmobil doesn’t seem to be the only company to launch new Back to the Future toys. Since 2020 is the 35th anniversary of the film, fans could get an influx of new goods. NECA now has the license to create new action figures Back to the future and collectibles, as well Funko Pop toy. Funko even publishes one Back to the future board gamethat CNET revealed in February.
