Asus ROG Phone 4 could up the charging ante over ROG 3

- A new leak suggests that the ROG Phone 4 can charge much faster.
- The phone is also claimed to have a 6,000 mAh battery.
The Asus ROG Phone 3 was one of the best Android phones of 2020 and had plenty of power, a 120 Hz OLED screen, and a 6,000 mAh battery. The downside to the battery size is that it takes the phone over 100 minutes to fully charge over 30W wired charging.
Fortunately, the Weibo Tipster Digital Chat Station reports that the Asus ROG Phone 4 will charge 60W or 65W when it launches later this year. They further claim that the device will maintain a battery size of 6,000 mAh, so it stands to reason that we could see charge times under an hour. Check out the post below.
There is no word on what this means for the condition of the battery over time as faster charging usually leads to faster battery deterioration. However, we saw Oppo promise that the battery in the 65 W Ace 2 still retains a capacity of over 90% after 800 cycles (ie approximately two years).
The Digital Chat Station also reports that the new Red Magic 6 gaming phone will include a 4,500 mAh battery with a charge of over 120W, while official teasing confirms that the Black Shark 4 will have a charge of over 120 W and a 4,500 mAh battery.
Load surveyThe tipster claims that all three phones are due in the first half of 2021, which would be an early release for the ROG Phone 4 in particular. Asus traditionally launched the ROG Phone series in the second half of the year, using the original device.
