Apple’s App Store, Music services launch in dozens of new countries

Apple is pushing its services to new countries and regions and opening up new sources of income.

Apple extended the range On Tuesday, the App Store, iCloud, Apple Podcasts and Apple Arcade were brought to 20 new countries, while Apple Music opened 52 new markets. It includes countries in Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Oceania.

The App Store, Apple Arcade, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts and iCloud are now available in:

  • Africa: Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Libya, Morocco, Rwanda and Zambia.
  • Asia Pacific: Maldives and Myanmar.
  • Europe: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia.
  • Middle East: Afghanistan (excluding Apple Music) and Iraq.
  • Oceania: Nauru (without Apple Music), Tonga and Vanuatu.

Apple Music came to:

  • Africa: Algeria, Angola, Benin, Chad, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Namibia, Republic of the Congo, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Tanzania and Tunisia.
  • Asia Pacific: Bhutan.
  • Europe: Croatia, Iceland and North Macedonia.
  • Latin America and the Caribbean: Bahamas, Guyana, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Turks and Caicos Islands and Uruguay.
  • Middle East: Kuwait, Qatar and Yemen.
  • Oceania: Solomon Islands.

“We are excited to offer users in more countries than ever before many of Apple’s most popular services,” said Oliver Schusser, vice president of Apple Music and International Content at Apple, in a press release.

In January, Apple announced that service revenue increased 17% to $ 12.7 billion, largely thanks to the App Store a record quarter ever. Its services are also expanded to new markets one week after Apple’s launch his $ 399 iPhone SE, the cheapest iPhone in its lineup.
