Apple plans to temporarily close some of its retail stores due to peak values Corona virus Cases in some states in the United States. The closures previously reported by Bloomberg will affect 11 stores in Arizona, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina.
“Due to the current COVID-19 conditions in some of the communities in which we operate, we are temporarily closing businesses in those areas,” said an Apple spokesman. “We are taking this step with great care as we closely monitor the situation and look forward to having our teams and customers back as soon as possible.”
In March, Apple closed all retail stores across the country to prevent the spread of the corona virus. The company has since opened several stores with increased social distancing measures.
US COVID 19 cases exceeded 2 million cases last week and several states are now reporting an increase in cases as lockdown orders weaken and businesses reopen. Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told CNN on June 12 that the current surge in new coronavirus cases is not a second wave.
