- Foldable iPhones move on to the next phase: According to Economic Daily NewsApple could be working on no fewer than two foldable iPhone prototypes. It’s possible to look like the third-party model above. According to EDNThe two prototypes were in a phase of durability testing and both have “graduated” so to speak. It’s unlikely we’ll see a foldable iPhone in 2021, but this supports previous rumors that a foldable iPhone is on the way.
- iPad Pro with Mini LED technology for the first quarter of 2021: According to a DigiTimes According to reports, Apple could launch a 12.9-inch iPad Pro at some point in the next few months. This new iPad would likely be one of the company’s first – if not the first – products to feature mini-LED technology. In theory, this could make the iPad display even better than high-end OLED panels. However, we will have to wait and see if this is the case.
- AirPods Pro 2 can come in two sizes: A new hardware leak (found via MacRumors) suggests there might be two sizes for the next iteration of AirPods Pro. This could be beneficial for people who think current AirPods are either too big or too small depending on the size of their ear canals.
- Caviar Makes $ 108,000 AirPods Max: If you’re not already brusque about the AirPods Max because of the ridiculous price tag of $ 550, then could we interest you in spending more than $ 100,000 on a model dipped in gold? The over-the-top Russian customization company Caviar is now selling AirPods Max with a “pure gold” finish. There is no word about how much heavier the already heavy headphones get.
- Third-Party AirPods Max Cases Finally Available: Speaking of AirPods Max, another big complaint besides the price is the wallet-like case. Fortunately, third-party companies are already rolling out solutions, with SFBags.com being one of the first. You can purchase a leather case for your new headphones for $ 99.
- Xiaomi drops the charger from the Mi 11 box, just like Apple: In the news everyone was expecting, Xiaomi announced this week that its new Mi 11 phones will not come with a charger in the box. This is remarkable when you consider that a few months ago the company made fun of Apple for doing the same thing with the iPhone 12 series. However, Xiaomi is still offering the charger for free to those who want something that Apple should have done too.
- Apple brings controversial app from the App Store: Apple pulled an app from the App Store called Vybe Together this week. On the surface, the app seems pretty standard. However, if you dig further you find that the app’s specific intent is to help people organize private parties and bypass local regulations related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The app’s official TikTok account has also been banned.
- The Mariah Carey Christmas Special was apparently a hit: You can watch the Mariah Carey Magical Christmas Special on Apple TV Plus. Apparently the special was a success enough that Apple asked Carey to make another one for the 2021 holiday season – with an unlimited budget. Seriously. Maybe Apple wants to make it a tradition?
