Mobile Battle Royale shooters like Fourteen days and PUBG Mobile Now I have another big rival. Respawn and EA have introduced Apex Legends Mobile, a phone-friendly version of the Titan Fall-based final game for Android and iOS.
The developer was shy about all the details, like Apex Legends Mobile would be different from its console and PC counterparts. However, Respawn’s Chad Grenier promised specially designed touchscreen controls and “thoughtful tweaks” for smaller screens. It would be new and yet “true to the original,” he said.
The game remains free and there are no paid items that provide an advantage over competing players. You can expect some unique Battle Passes, cosmetics, and unlockables. Don’t expect to compete with other platforms Apex Legends Mobilebut. Since it was specially developed for mobile devices, there is no cross-play with console or PC players.
Grenier also noted that Respawn had an in-house team that was being worked on Apex Legends Mobile in cooperation with “other partners”. This is not a fully outsourced project like other customizations, in other words.

Depending on where you live, you might not have to wait long to play. Regional betas will begin in late April, when “several thousand” Android players in India and the Philippines will have early access Apex Legends Mobile. More regions, more players and iOS users will have access during 2021.
This is a potentially big start to the mobile world. Apex Legends Pioneered some of the now common features in Battle Royale games (such as resurrecting dead teammates). The company saw steady growth that helped reach a total of 100 million players in early April – well above that Call of Duty: War Zone75 million. The start of Apex Legends Mobile comes right when there’s a lot of interest and could help make it an even bigger title by reaching out to people who couldn’t play before.
