Samsung is slated to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the next few weeks, and we’ve already heard a report of cheaper prices for both models. Now a regular leaker has revealed an obvious price for the foldable clamshell.
Twitter tipster FrontTron has claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 will have a suggested retail price of $ 1,249. This supposedly goes for the 8GB / 256GB variant, which could be the only RAM / storage option if the Galaxy Z Flip 5G has something to offer. In any case, this price would be a bit cheaper than the previous $ 1,450 price. See the screenshot of the tweet below.
The leaker warns us to be cautious about this information, but a cheaper price would roughly match a with SamMobile report last month. The website claimed that the Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 could be “up to 20% cheaper” than their predecessors. So we could expect a ~ 13% drop in price from the Z Flip 5G rather than a 20% drop if the new leak is correct.
Either way, leaks and regulatory filings give us a good idea of what to expect from the new foldable clamshell. Leaked renders show a two-tone design with a larger external screen and two rear cameras. Meanwhile, an FCC filing has confirmed Qualcomm chipset, wireless charging (and 9W reverse wireless charging), and possibly MST support.
