  • In theory, this would allow the colors of the Google Assistant interface to match your phone’s color scheme.
  • If so, we will likely get a confirmation on Google I / O 2021 next week.

A common rumor surrounding Android 12 is native theme support. In theory, the operating system would pull colors from your background image and then automatically add complementary colors to the rest of the system. How far would this thematic system go, however?

There is now evidence that this could even affect the Google Assistant theme. According to a tipster who shares XDA developerThey discovered their wizard interface with completely different colors. Unfortunately, people are with XDA could not reproduce the colorations themselves. Still, this evidence is building up with other information we already know about Android 12.

Obviously, for the third Google Assistant theme, that green tint is nowhere near complementary to the background color. The topic element may not have worked properly or there may have been some other error.

Elsewhere, the screenshots were shared with XDA Also show the rumored “My Actions” feature. This would be a more accessible version of routines already accessible in Assistant. The rumored “My Actions” function would probably not be specifically tied to Android 12, however. It would likely only be available to anyone with an Assistant-enabled device.

Regardless, we’ll likely learn a lot about the ability to change the Google Assistant theme during Google I / O next week. Stay tuned!
