An upgraded Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite?
- The technical data of the new Redmi Note 9 series has been leaked.
- The “high-end” variant can be a renamed Mi 10T Lite with a more powerful rear view camera.
- Redmi’s lesser-specified device may contain a MediaTek Dimensity chipset with a 5,000 mAh battery.
The new devices in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 series have been described in detail in what is perhaps the most revealing leak to date. Pro tipster Digital chat stationAt least two versions are offered.
The “high-end version” turns out to be the most exciting on paper. According to the leak, it is the larger of the two with a weight of 214 grams and dimensions of 165.4mm x 76.8mm x 9mm.
It is said to contain a 6.67-inch LCD with 2,400 x 1,080 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate. This was rumored earlier this week and it allows the phone to scale between 30Hz and 120Hz to suit application needs. A touch sampling rate of 240 Hz should help gamers with fast fingers. According to reports, a pinhole camera has a 16-megapixel shooter. Four cameras appear on the back with a 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor.
Internally, the high-end Redmi Note 9 apparently runs a Snapdragon 750G chipset, powered by a 4,820 mAh battery with a 33 W charge.
If you spot an issue here, it’s because the phone’s specs largely mirror the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite’s cheat sheet, except for the main camera. It is unclear whether the new Redmi Note 9 will also mirror the physical design of the Mi 10T Lite.

The less impressive Redmi Note 9 variant has a slightly lighter case with the dimensions 162 mm x 77.3 mm x 9.2 mm. per tipster. It should accommodate a 6.53-inch display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080. However, it is unclear whether this display will also receive the adaptive 120Hz / 240Hz treatment. However, this time it shows a hole with a 13MP sensor. A 48MP shooter sits in the back alongside two other snappers.
Unlike the high-end Redmi Note 9, this model will reportedly use MediaTek silicon, namely the Dimensity 800U chipset. It’s backed by a 5,000 mAh battery with a 22.5 W charge, closes the leak.
There’s no one more word on the phones’ launch information, but previous reports suggest they will debut this month, likely initially in China. In terms of pricing, the premium Redmi Note 9 should retail for around $ 300 if the Mi 10T Lite’s pricing is used as a guide.
