- Amazon has announced that Prime Day 2021 will take place in June this year.
- The sales event was pushed ahead with the Christmas season in July in mind.
Amazon has confirmed Prime Day 2021 is on the rise this year. The event usually takes place in July. However, the company has decided to postpone it until the second quarter of this year.
As reported by CNETBrian Olsavsky, Amazon’s Chief Financial Officer, confirmed during a press conference that Prime Day 2021 will take place in June.
The official did not announce a specific date for Prime Day 2021, but said: “We will do it on a day that we believe it will pay more attention to our customers and also our suppliers.”
He added that Amazon has concerns about shipping delays and shipping slowdowns in July as it is a big holiday month. The impact of the Olympics in the third quarter could further affect Prime Day progress. Therefore, the company landed in June to host the event.
“We look forward to the return of Prime Day and look forward to bringing incredible savings to our members while investing in opportunities for our small business distributors and continuing to keep our employees safe,” said an Amazon representative in a Explanation.
Amazon suggested that you could ask your Alexa-enabled devices to keep you posted on Prime Day 2021 for updates on the actual dates.
Prime Day was postponed to October last year due to the pandemic. However, it produced some great deals on smartphones, wearables, laptops, and many other electronic devices. We assume that Prime Day 2021 will also offer big discounts. So if you’re looking to buy a new phone or a large home appliance, hold off until June.
