TL; DR
- Amazon will hold its fall hardware event on September 28, 2021 at 12:00 PM ET.
- However, there is not a word about what the company is trying to reveal.
- We’ve seen updated versions of its Echo smart speakers, home security products, and more over the past several years.
Amazon is preparing for its hardware showcase 2021 and has officially set a date for the event. According to an invitation from The edge, the event takes place next week on September 28th at 12:00 PM ET. As usual, Amazon didn’t go into the details of what it wanted to reveal. The invitation contained only a vague mention of “News about our latest Amazon devices, features and services”.
In the past, Amazon used its fall hardware event to showcase updated smart speakers, new and improved Ring Home Security products, and streaming devices. At its event last year, Amazon launched the new Echo, new versions of the Echo Dot, the Eero 6 and 6 Pro WiFi routers, a new Echo Show, and many security products such as the Ring Car Cam, Ring Car Alarm, and Ring Always Home Cam . There was also a new Fire Stick 4K and Fire Stick Lite.
One of the biggest announcements last year was the launch of the game streaming service Amazon Luna, which is set to compete with Google Stadia and Microsoft Cloud. However, Luna is still not open to the public. So far, only Amazon users in the USA are allowed to apply for early access. We could see an update on his game streaming service next week.
After all, at least one of the potential launch products has already leaked: the Kindle Paperwhite 5. Stay tuned!
