Huami’s Amazfit line of smartwatches and fitness trackers has long been the go-to for many budget-conscious consumers. The company has already launched several watches in India and it looks like it will launch another one next week.
Huami announced that the Amazfit Bip U will be launched in India on October 16 through Amazon and its own Amazfit webshop. There’s no word on pricing yet, but the company notes that it’s the latest in its line of budget smartwatches, and it’s launching at an “impressive” price. For what it’s worth, the Standard Bip S sells for 4,999 rupees (~ $ 68).
The Amazfit Bip U will not gain any points for originality, which is definitely reminiscent of the Apple Watch with its rounded corners and the crown on the right. Otherwise, the brand touts SPO2 tracking as a standout feature of the smartwatch.

Other notable Bip U features include a TFT LCD color screen, heart rate monitoring, constant support, 60+ sport modes, 5ATM water resistance, stress monitoring, breathing training, menstrual tracking and Huami’s PAI health rating system. According to Huami, you can also expect a typical usage time of up to nine days.
We’ll update the item with prices at launch, but you can choose between pink, black, and green color options on launch day. We hope the Bip U does not suffer from any major connectivity issues as this was our main problem in the last Amazfit wearable reviews.
