- According to a Twitter leak, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro could hit the market this month.
- The tipster claims that Huawei could launch the global variant on October 22nd.
- Unfortunately, the Mate 40 Pro doesn’t have Google Apps and could be the last of its kind.
It was relatively quiet around the Huawei Mate 40 and Huawei Mate 40 Pro (for obvious reasons). However, we continue to assume that the phones will hit the market sometime this month and one leaker claims to know exactly when that will happen.
According to leaker @ rodent950 (who had reliable information in the past), Huawei could launch the Mate 40 series worldwide on October 22nd. In China, pre-sales could start the same day for an in-store date October 30th.
Unfortunately, the tipster didn’t know if October 30th would be the date you could buy a Mate 40 device in the rest of the world.
For the recording, Android Authority Huawei has not received a word about launch events, so we cannot confirm or deny the claims of this leak.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro: the last of its kind
We’re excited to see what the Mate 40 Pro has to offer, but we’re sure it won’t have Google Apps on board. We also know that this will be the last Huawei smartphone to feature a Kirin chipset, as the Huawei ban is now preventing the company from producing its processors in the first place.
Connected: We asked, you told us: You think the US has gone too far against Huawei
In a sense, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro is the last of its kind. Until this point in the next year, Huawei phones will have nothing to do with the Mate 40 Pro unless something seriously drastic changes. There won’t be any Kirin chipsets and probably Android on board, not to mention Google Apps.
As soon as we know exactly the start date of Mate 40 we will update you with the news.
