Update, October 13, 2020 (8:10 a.m. ET): A new update for OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T will be released this week. The update, numbered as Oxygen OS 10.3.6, doesn’t bring a lot of new features. However, it does contain some important security patches for the system.

OnePlus 6 and 6T update

The OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T were both launched in 2018. The OnePlus 6 was launched with Android 8.1 Oreo and the OnePlus 6T with Android 9 Pie. The OnePlus 6 received its Android 9 Pie update not long after the software hit the public.
Now both unlocked versions of OnePlus 6 and 6T have official updates for Android 10. It is very likely that both devices will receive updates for Android 11 in 2020. However, the judges are still unsure whether or not the two devices will get Android 12 in 2021.
In January OnePlus introduced OxygenOS 10.3.1 for the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T. The update brought some bug fixes to the phones as well as the December 2019 Android security patch.
Later in February, the T-Mobile version of the OnePlus 6T finally received the Android 10 update. This had been delayed for some time. Aside from all the fixes to Android 10, the update added the December 2019 security patch to the phone.
Shortly afterwards, both handsets received the stable update for Oxygen OS 10.3.2. This update addresses a screen flicker issue, improves system stability, and includes the February security patch.
With Oxygen OS 10.3.3, which launched in mid-May, the two phones received the latest security patch for April 2020 as well as some bug fixes. However, there was nothing special in the update.
At the end of May, OnePlus 6 and Oneplus 6T received Oxygen OS 10.3.4. The update included the May security patch for Android and added Epic Games in the OnePlus Game Space Launcher for India. A number of minor bug fixes were also introduced.
