All the Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro updates
Update: February 25, 2021 (5:45 AM ET): It’s been well over a year since the Huawei P30 series received its stable Android 10 update. Now global users appear to be getting the EMUI 11 update.
Per HuaweiCentralthe phones get version 11.0.0.138. At 1.8GB, the update is much smaller than the jump from EMUI 9 to EMUI 10. It’s likely that EMUI 11 is still Android 10 based.
That said, it brings a number of new features to the devices. A more customizable always-on display meets other animation changes to the user interface.
To check if your phone’s pending update is available, go to System update by doing the settings Menu. Beat Software update and then Check for updates.

Huawei P30 and P30 Pro update

The Huawei P30 and 30 Pro were introduced with EMUI 9 based on Android 9. Like most Android flagships, these are expected to receive two major updates in the future.
The P30 series received a remarkable update in the early years. In March 2019, the P30 and P30 Pro models received improvements in fingerprint unlock performance. Instagram issues and a constantly active display bug have also been fixed.
In May 2020, the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro released an update to improve photo quality, the ability to scan an alternate facial expression and the Android security patch for that month.
Another important update came in July 2020. Per HuaweiCentralDC dimming made its debut with the EMUI 9.1.0.175 update. Further corrections to the fingerprint reader and camera were also made.
Stable EMUI 10, based on Android 10, was introduced for the Huawei P30 series in November 2019. The update with the number 10.0.0.168 had a weight of 4.4 GB. Since then, Huawei has released a number of small updates that either contain an update to the Android security patch or minor bug fixes.
In November 2020, the Huawei P30 series received EMUI 10.1 – the first major version version in a year. It arrived with the October 2020 security patch.
In January 2021, the P30 Pro received a new update to EMUI 10.1. The update with the number 10.1.0.203 brought the security patch from January 2021.
