  • Activision Blizzard will eventually move all of its franchises to mobile devices.
  • The company’s plan is backed by the success of Call of Duty: Mobile.
  • Crash Bandicoot and Diablo are expected to receive adjustments for mobile games in 2021.

Activision Blizzard is set to make a passionate foray into mobile gaming in the years to come. As confirmed in a recent investor call (via GameSpot) says the company’s president, Daniel Alegre, that at some point the company will see all of its franchises on mobile.

While the console and PC appear to remain the cornerstone of the company, the company appears to be taking the financial potential of mobile gaming seriously.

“We need to make sure we activate our franchise on the billions of mobile devices that are currently available,” says Alegre. “This is by far our greatest opportunity and we are investing wisely to take advantage of it and move all of our franchises to mobile devices over time. This is really very important to us. “

Given the company’s success with Call of Duty: Mobile, this is not surprising. The shooter spin-off has seen more than 300 million downloads worldwide since it started a year ago. The title was released in China last month, so that number is likely to rise. The company also owns King, the maker of the Candy Crush series.

Which Activision Blizzard mobile games could debut?

A Crash Bandicoot adaptation called Crash: On The Run will be released next year for the upcoming titles. A mobile Diablo title has been in the works since 2018 that is arousing the ire of established fans.
