TL; DR
- Withings has launched the ScanWatch Horizon.
- The hybrid watch combines the aesthetics of a diver’s watch with the usual smarts for health monitoring from Withings.
- The price starts at € 499.95 in Europe, a market launch in the USA is expected this year.
If you liked the concept of the Withings ScanWatch, but the design was a bit too simple for your taste, there is a new variant in the wild. Today the company announced the Withings ScanWatch Horizon, which combines the proven ScanWatch health kit with a diving watch facade.
The most noticeable feature of the Horizon is its rugged exterior. A stainless steel and titanium case, a 43 mm sapphire crystal lens and a fluoroelastomer strap complete the facade of the Horizon, including a rotating diving dial and high-contrast, luminous hands. As a hybrid watch, the ScanWatch Horizon also includes a small round display that offers intelligent notification displays, health statistics and menu navigation. There is also a new pushable crown.

The usual Withings Smarts are also included. The ScanWatch Horizon offers detailed sleep tracking, activity tracking, on-demand EKG and a medical-grade SpO2 sensor that provides information on monitoring of respiratory disorders. As a diving watch, the Horizon also offers a water resistance of 10 ATM, good for water depths of 100 m. In addition, a battery life of 30 days sweetens the appeal.
Withings ScanWatch Horizon pricing and availability
Scuba diving is not a cheap hobby, so don’t expect the Withings ScanWatch Horizon to come at a low price. It is available in blue or green tint and starts at € 499.95 for buyers in mainland Europe. That’s a pretty penny for a hybrid watch, especially when compared to modern smartwatches from Samsung, Apple, and Garmin. You can also buy two normal ScanWatches at this price.
Withings ScanWatch Horizon
Withings’ ScanWatch Horizon hybrid watch combines classic diving watch aesthetics with its proven health tracking platform. This includes ECG, SpO2 and heart rate tracking, a battery life of 30 days and water resistance of 10 ATM.
Withings is aiming for a special niche here, however, and the Horizon seems to be a consummate diver’s watch with added smart. Most of that premium is also the result of focusing on build quality.
