A new Honor Magic phone with Snapdragon 888 is coming

Qualcomm and Honor announced earlier this week that the Honor 50 series will feature the newly announced Snapdragon 778G processor. But what if you want an Honor phone with more grunts? Well, the new independent manufacturer has news for you.

Honor detailed the use of Qualcomm chipsets in a press release emailed today and reiterated the use of the Snapdragon 778G in its Honor 50 phones. But it also confirmed (indirectly) that it would use the Snapdragon 888 SoC in the Honor Magic series.

“In addition, the Honor Magic series, an upcoming premium flagship with excellent image quality, will leverage the highest quality Qualcomm chipset to unlock its remarkable image processing capabilities,” the company said. Of course, the Snapdragon 888 is the “highest quality” processor in the Qualcomm stable.

We’re also excited about the return of the Honor Magic line, with Honor Magic 2 being the last device in the range in 2018. The original Honor Magic featured a rather eye-catching, curved design, while the successor offered a chic slider design and 3D face unlock. We look forward to seeing what the new range will offer in terms of design and features.

Honor confirmed that more details on upcoming devices will be revealed next month so we don’t have to wait too long. We hope these phones get a wider version.
