5 great meal-kit delivery deals you can get right now
Closed with so many restaurants Corona virus Precautions, this could be the ideal time to try a meal set delivery service. Companies like Blue Apron, Hello Fresh and Gobble offer perfectly portioned, ready-to-cook dinners on your doorstep at prices per serving that are often more than what you would pay for restaurants.
There are currently five particularly good offers. I will update this list as soon as more of my radar is entered or their offers change. Which is the best? I’ve tried several and they’re all pretty darn good. You can see the CNET summary the best delivery services for food sets and best delivery services for healthy food for a more detailed, um, taste.
If you’ve tried one or more of them in the meantime, tell me which and what you liked or didn’t like.

Blue Apron offers boxes of two and four servings with two to three or two to four recipes a week. Prices range from $ 7.49 to $ 9.99 per serving, depending on how much you order. Shipping is free on all orders, except for the option for two people and two recipes.
There is no voucher code for this offer. Just click the orange “Redeem Offer” button above and you will save $ 60 on your first three fields.
Brandy Yowell
As fate would have it, I just tried Gobble for the first time. It’s pretty similar to the other services, except that many items are already delivered chopped, peeled, marinated, etc. – which can definitely save you preparation time. The two meals I received, Yankee Braised and Cacao e Pepe, were great.
Dinner prices are a flat rate of $ 11.99 per serving. So you pay a little more for this convenience.
Chef
The chef’s meals start at $ 6.99 per serving. However, a detailed price list is only displayed when you have actually been added to the weekly menu and make your selection. Also a bit confusing: some meals are labeled “Fresh Start”, but nothing I could find shows what that means.
To update: Use the promo code CNETDAD45 You’ll save $ 15 per delivery on your first three orders and save a total of $ 45 on a new Home Chef subscription. You can use this offer at any time until June 22nd.
Purple carrot
Good news, vegans: Purple Carrot only offers vegetable meals and code PURPLE20 Not only do you save $ 20 on your first box, you also donate to Feeding America. Plans start at $ 10 per serving; Shipping is also free for lower frequency tariffs.
Sun basket
Sun Basket is slightly more expensive than some of the other services, with meals between $ 11 and $ 13 per serving – but in return, you’ll only get organic, non-GMO dishes. And the $ 35 discount definitely makes your first box more affordable and gives you a choice of four items from the extensive snack menu: fries, vegetables, candy bars, and so on.
Use the link below and then click Activate Offer to get the discount and giveaways.
My advice: take advantage of each one of these offers (make sure you pause or cancel afterwards unless you want to continue). You can see which service you like best and get super affordable take-away meals for weeks.
