2021 Sony Playstation event shows Spider-Man 2, more

Sony hosted another of its PlayStation Showcase virtual events today and, as promised, made a number of new trailers and announcements for its PlayStation 5 game library. Here’s a quick look at what was revealed today.

Marvel’s Wolverine

Insomniac Games, the makers of the hit Spider-Man PlayStation games, are making another Marvel-based game based on the most popular mutated Wolverine. Further details about the game were not revealed.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Insomniac is also making a full sequel to its hit Spider-Man game. It is slated for release in 2023 and will bring together the Peter Parker and Miles Morales Spider-Men.

God of war: Ragnarok

Sony’s Santa Monica Studio team is working on the next game in the God of War action-adventure series. This is the first trailer that shows the gameplay from the title. We will see again how Kratos and his son Atreus work together and also have some tension between them. There is no release date yet.

Grand Turismo 7

Sony’s hit racing simulation is finally coming to the PlayStation 5. You will be able to drive the supercars in the game when it releases on March 4, 2022.

Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic Remake

Aspyr Media reworks the classic Star Wars role-playing game originally developed by BioWare. There’s no word on a release date yet, but it appears to be a PS5 exclusivity.

EVE project

This third-person action game from Shift Up Second Eve Studio centers on a young woman trying to save a devastated future earth by battling some really strange alien monsters.

Tiny Tina’s wonderland

We took a fresh look at this Borderlands spin-off game from Gearbox Software and 2K Games that features gameplay for the first time. It should appear on March 25th, 2022.

Pronounced

This third-person action game by Square Enix, which will be released in spring 2022, shows a young woman from our earth today who is suddenly transported into a fantasy realm. She must use the power of her intelligent glove to defeat the enemies of this world.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Extraction

We have yet another new trailer of Ubisoft’s next Rainbow Six tactical shooter where your team battles an alien invasion. It is due in January 2022.

Alan Wake Remastered

Remedy is redesigning its classic action noir game for new consoles, including the Playstation 4 and 5. It is scheduled for release on October 5th.

Grand Theft Auto 5

Rockstar Games is finally giving us the PS5 version of its successful open-world crime game along with its multiplayer component Grand Theft Auto Online in March 2022.

Ghostwire Tokyo

We have one more look at this long-awaited horror action game from Bethesda Softworks. It will come in spring 2022.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

We have another trailer of Eidos Montreal’s adaptation of the Marvel Comics space opera series. The publication should take place on October 26, 2021.

Vampire The Masquerade – Blood Hunt

Here’s another look at this free Battle Royal game based on the vampire RPG. It’s slated to hit the market sometime in 2021 by developer Sharkmob.

Death loop

Arkane Studios and Bethesda Softworks have released a final trailer for their first-person shooter with a time loop theme. It’s due next week, September 14th.

Kid A Mnesia Exhibition

Here’s a strange trailer for some kind of game by the rock band Radiohead. It’s due sometime in November from publisher Epic Games.

Tchia

Developed by Awaceb, this kids-focused, open-world tropical game allows players to enter and control every animal they can find. It’s due sometime in 2022.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection

Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4 will be remastered for PS5 and PC in early 2022. It will contain the main game and the expansion pack and will be available in early 2022.
