2021 Motorola Nio leaks with dual-lens selfie cam
- The common tidbit Evan Blass just revealed what supposedly the Motorola Nio is.
- Nio is likely the code name for the previously announced G-series device with an 800-series processor.

Earlier this week, Motorola surprised us with the announcement that a new G-series phone with a Qualcomm 800-series processor under the hood is underway. The G series usually has 600 and 700 series processors, which keeps them firmly in the middle range. However, an 800-series processor would make it more like a flagship.
Today Evan Blass posted a picture of a phone that he claims is this G-series device. Pale says the code name is Motorola Nio. The picture shows a device with two display cut-outs on the top left, in which two selfie camera lenses are housed.

Evan Blass has an excellent reputation when it comes to smartphone leaks. That being said, we can’t help but notice that this image looks a bit photoshopping. It may not be, but you should approach this leak with care (as you should with any leak in general).

If we accept that this is the Motorola Nio – and also accept that it is the G-series device that Motorola previously unveiled – this could be the company’s next flagship. Note, however, that Motorola made no promises that this phone would feature the new Snapdragon 888. It was merely advised that a future G-series device would have an 800-series chipset. That could mean a Snapdragon 865 or even a Snapdragon 855. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
