2021 Ford Bronco will sound like this
We are officially only two weeks from 2021 Ford Bronco in all its retro, off-road and rugged splendor. Before that, Ford gave us a new teaser on Instagram.
On Monday, the Ford Bronco’s official Instagram page shared a video with angles about the sounds of the Bronco. In particular, the noises come out from under the hood. The automaker hasn’t shared any additional information other than the video, but basically confirms that Ford will offer a turbocharged V6. This tone is clearly reminiscent of the automaker’s EcoBoost V6 engines.
We do not know what kind of displacement the bronco can show. Today the Blue Oval produces a 3.5 liter V6 with two turbochargers and a 2.7 liter V6 with turbocharger and the EcoBoost logo. The latter is the more likely candidate.
Aside from the turbo-charged V6, rumors point to Ford’s 2.3-liter turbo four-cylinder as the base mill of the Bronco. It should share the engine with that Ford Ranger. After all, the Bronco is said to share the architecture of the ranger. A Seven-speed manual transmission can also be a gear option dedicated to the slow creep of rocks.
We feel like Ford will be handing out a few more teasers in the next few weeks, but the day of the Bronco’s unveiling on July 13th will be here before we know it.
