The best NEW Android games of May 2021:
Jump trigger
Price: Play for free
Leap Trigger is an augmented reality game with shooter elements. Players use their camera viewfinders to look around the real world and shoot the various creatures that appear. It’s definitely something different in the shooter genre. There is also multiplayer support with up to eight players in case you want to play with friends. The controls are easy to learn and the game isn’t overly complicated. The only really bad part is the battery drain since it is using your camera as the main environmental source. There are some bugs and the game needs tweaking, but otherwise it’s fun.
Lilulu
Price: $ 3.99
Joe Hindy / Android Authority
Lilulu is an adventure puzzle game. Players will cycle through the memories of Lilulu as they chase after a mysterious girl. The aim of the game is to explore Lilulu’s mental state and to catch the girl who dodges you at every turn. The graphics are pretty decent and it has that atmospheric feel that many good indie puzzle games have these days. It’s a $ 3.99 premium game with no in-app purchases or ads.
Ludo party
Price: Play for free
Ludo Party is a mobile version of Ludo, a popular board game. It is a dice game where players roll the dice to move around the board. It is a variant of the Indian game Pachisi or, as you may know, Sorry and Trouble. The game supports multiplayer up to four players both offline and locally. There’s also an offline practice mode, multiple boards to play with, and a loot box mechanic with various unlockable items. Online multiplayer has some matchmaking issues and the game seems to use bots to make up for this when there aren’t enough players. It’s enough to piss some people off, but the game works fine otherwise.
Mystery Match Village
Price: Play for free
Mystery Match Village is a match-three game with a mysterious element. Each level is a match-three game that we have all played before. The mechanics are more or less the same. The game differs from the rest of the genre with a hidden object mechanic with puzzles that the player has to solve. It’s a nice arcade hybrid, and it seems like a great way to kill a few minutes. It’s free to play, but the microtransactions aren’t bad.
Princess story
Price: Play for free
Princess Tale is a new mobile gacha role-playing game with an idle game component. You start the game by collecting different characters. From there, they step up, find items, and basically do things all on their own. There are things for players to do like daily missions and seasonal events. Otherwise, it’s a relaxing way to waste a few minutes playing cell phone games. Online multiplayer is a bit of a pay-to-win, but everything else is good for its genre.

Raging loop
Price: $ 29.99
Raging Loop is the latest game from Kemco, developer of a large number of mobile RPG titles. It’s a visual novel with an element of psychological horror. You play the game mainly to get involved with the story, make decisions, and see where those decisions lead. There are no complicated game mechanics or anything like that, so it’s a nice title for horror fans. The $ 29.99 price tag is a bit absurd so we’d recommend waiting for a price drop or sale, but keep it on your radar if you’re into that sort of thing.
The spike
Price: Free
The Spike is an arcade volleyball game. It was developed by a group of students who love to play volleyball. There’s a story element too, although to be honest, it’s not the deepest story and is there to keep the player moving. In terms of mechanics, the game is actually quite difficult. You get the usual things like blocking and serving. The levels also develop fairly evenly, with later stages actually being difficult. Still, it’s a fun arcade game, and one of the few decent volleyball games on the phone.
Summoner’s War: Lost Centuria
Price: Play for free
Summoners War: Lost Centuria, the latest game from Com2uS, developer of Summoners War. This is not a mobile gacha like its predecessor. Instead, it is a strategy RPG that is similar to games like Fire Emblem or Final Fantasy Tactics. Players collect, expand, and upgrade cards for use in battle. It’s mostly a PvP title, so you spend most of your time dueling other players. There are also guilds where you can team up with friends. The game has a few bugs, including connectivity issues, as well as some difficulties for newer players. There is just one thing to note.
Tender: comfort for creatures
Price: $ 3.99
Tender: Creature Comforts is a mobile gaming riff on Tinder, the dating app. You will cross out different characters from the game and try to date as many as you can. The game has hundreds of profiles to choose from, lots of characters to chat with, and you can even do things like appointments and the like. There are tons of ramified storylines that need to be played through so that there is good replayability. It’s one of the few premium dating sims available for cellphone, and one of the better ones.
Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus
Price: $ 11.99
Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is a mobile port of the popular PC game. Well it kind of is. The developers openly state that the game is intended for larger screens such as tablets and the game may scale poorly on smaller displays. Anyway, this is a strategy game with over 50 levels for players to enjoy. There is a full story to play and player choices about things like upgrades. It’s definitely not an easy game, but it’s quite a lot of fun. It’s a bit expensive, but it’s still almost 1/3 the price of the PC version. To reiterate, we only recommend this on larger displays. It’s not good for phones.
