10 best gamer chat apps for Android
Most gaming platforms these days have apps, including Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation. Most of them have full access to the platform’s chat options. For example, you can use the Xbox app to attend an Xbox Live party. Steam has a special app just for text chat. PlayStation lagged for many years but has since incorporated the functionality into their official app. I personally used Xbox party chat to play Minecraft with friends on my phone. You can still send and receive text messages just like you would on your actual console. It won’t supplant Discord, but it’s a nice addition, especially if your friends are tied to a platform you don’t own and you play games with cross-play (like Destiny 2).
